2008
A sparkling interview with Jean-Louis Ballarin
The «Tradition du terroir» bottle has been given a makeover. To bring it closer to modernity, thus, authenticity?
At the beginning we had a bottle with a coat of arms and a definite appellation: Crémant de Bordeaux. Our goal was to bring this product before a wider public.
It was essential to share with the consumer the flavor of the terroir and the ancestral traditions which are the essence of our wine.
Let's speak of the tradition of the terroir....
Tradition is handmade, the work of a craftsman. The terroir is the very heart of the product, its origin, its provenance.
The qualities of the the traditonal terroir were distinguished at the tastings and competitions in which we participated: Guide Hachette 2008, the best effervescent in the world, national competition of French sparkling wines....
This bottle is unique, its identity very marked: it has become synonymous with the product and become a veritable sign of recognition for the consumer.
The collaboration with the VOA was total: with their market strategy and knowledge they immediately assimilated our ideas and adapted them according to our practical needs. An efficient and successful teamwork.
If you could imagine the bottle of your dreams, what form would it have, what color?
The bottle of my dreams, I dare not describe. You must promise not to repeat it or if you do, only to the VOA who will make it exclusively for me!
It is a gem, a jewel in its case! Its form will be classic, its color intense: "black pearl of the pacifique." Brilliant black coal!
