VOA, the 1st glassworks company to obtain 4 ISO certifications
The addition of two certifications regarding staff safety and food safety makes VOA a pioneer company in the area of safety and quality
After having been certified ISO 9001 (quality management systems) for 12 years and ISO 14001 (environmental management systems) for five years, VOA was long prepared to obtain certificates OHSAS 18001 (health and safety management systems) and ISO 22000 (food safety).
VOA realized this crowning achievement in 2007 following an audit by AFAQ AFNOR from October 22 to 26, when it received these two latest certificates without any faults.

Staff and consumer safety are at the heart of VOA’s concerns, with an idea towards risk management and constant quality improvement.
As the security of our personnel is one of our top priorities the company has put in place an important action plan that has reduced the number of on-the-job accidents tenfold, making VOA a pioneer in the development of a safety culture. For the last two years the security of consumers using the glass bottles produced by VOA was the objective of an HACCP risk analysis and important investments:
- At first we made technical improvements by updating our production tools at a cost of 500,000 €
- Next we focused on the staff with the deployment of a training program of more than 10,000 hours, focusing on risk reduction (glass dangers, chemical products, operator hygiene)
30% decrease in customer complaints and better guarantee of zero critical defects for the consumer.
Thus for our customers, the end user, the VOA staff and the general public, this quadruple certification of VOA is a mark of trust and significant continuous improvement.
